The Speedmaster is one of Omega’s most iconic timepieces. Having been a part of the NASA’s Apollo lunar missions, the renowned Speedmaster is an impressive representation of the brand’s adventurous pioneering spirit. This Omega Speedmaster Professional “Moonwatch” features a black dial covered by a hesalite crystal and features a small seconds sub-dial, 30-minute recorder and 12-hour recorder along with a central chronograph hand. The black bezel, with its tachymetric scale, is mounted on a 42 mm stainless steel case. Inside is a mechanical caliber 861, which was the upgraded movement that followed the famous manual-winding movement worn on the Moon. Coming from circa 1985, this watch has a service dial and hands with Superluminova.

Omega is one of the world’s most recognizable luxury watch brands. Although founded in 1848, the company did not become known as Omega until 1894, when the company took the name of its highly successful new watch movement. The revolutionary movement used a single crown for both winding and time setting. While these are remarkable achievements, the watch that made Omega a legend among watchmakers was the Speedmaster, the only watch to survive the brutal NASA testing requirements and the only watch certified by NASA for use in Space.
