Description

Frederique Constant values classical and traditional design that does not reflect a specific era but is intended to appeal across generations to come.  Because they design and manufacture all their watches, there is a coherence to the Frederique Constant collections that makes their watches recognizable.  New watch models begin in their workshop as a collaborative discussion about the design, which develops into a prototype that leads ultimately to the manufacture.  While the company prides itself on offering fine crafted watches that are affordable, they still decorate the visible components using age-old techniques developed by the luxury watchmaking industry.  Frederique Constant collections are varied but all maintain their classical, clean design, so much so that it is often surprising to learn that this Swiss watchmaker was formed in 1988, named after the founder’s great-grandparents.
