The Omega Seamaster was first introduced in 1948, as part of the brand’s centenary celebrations. Initially designed as a rugged and reliable watch for professionals and military personnel, it quickly gained popularity among divers and became a symbol of the brand’s commitment to precision and performance. Over the years, the Seamaster has undergone numerous iterations and improvements, including the addition of new features such as automatic movements, chronographs, and water resistance up to 600 meters. Today, the Seamaster is one of Omega’s most iconic and recognizable timepieces, worn by everyone from James Bond to Olympic athletes.
Introduced in the early 1970’s, the Cosmic 2000 series added a system of large gaskets in an unusual modular case design that kept the movement safe from grit and moisture, even at depth. The Cosmic 2000 has a gently curved 39.5mm steel case that sits comfortably on the wrist. Omega added to this unique case a caliber 1022 Day-Date automatic movement with quickset functions, with a generous 40-hour power reserve. What sets apart the watch presented here is that in June, 2023, it received a full service from Omega, and is accompanied with an Omega service box and papers. Its distinctive 12-hour bi-directional rotating bezel surrounds a black dial with a raised, applied metallic Omega logo, an attractive feature of vintage Omega watches, such as the vintage Speedmaster. With features such as a day of the week and date, this Seamaster Cosmic offers practicality and vintage style. With a recent service, this is an unusual and relatively inexpensive vintage Omega that is guaranteed to offer years of carefree wear.

Omega 42mm Speedmaster, Black Dial, Leather Strap Ref. 105.012-66
Widely known as the Moonwatch, this Omega Speedmaster is one of the more sought after as it was the model worn throughout the Apollo program. Several features set it apart from later Speedmaster releases, but it is the movement that captures the imagination of Speedmaster aficionados. The caliber 321 with its favored column wheel has recently been serviced, assuring the new owner of years of worry free wear. As part of the normal service, the hesalite crystal and the crown were replaced. In addition to the service and movement, the other highlight of the watch is the very nice condition Dot Over Ninety (DON) bezel and black step dial. Originally with tritium lume, the lume on many of the indices has worn away. This vintage Speedmaster is an appealing watch that still holds its connection between the climatic years of the Moon landing and the present every expanding Speedmaster fan base.
The Omega Genève Dynamic watches were released to the public in 1968, with the later versions switching from Geneve Dynamic to Deville Dynamics. Watches were named Dynamic to emphasize their unusual shape, which was specifically designed to emphasize comfort. The case is clearly elliptical to sit comfortably on the wrist, while the dial is a more traditional round shape for ease in reading the time. The Dynamics featured many different dial designs, as well as movements. Perhaps the most popular is the dial on the watch shown here, the black and grey tuxedo version, which is nicely offset with the reddish-orange seconds hand. The caseback on this watch includes the correct etching “Tool 107 Waterproof”, which is also curved. The integrated stainless steel bracelet and Omega signed crown both appear to be original. The case still shows the unusual (and correct) sunburst brushing on the top and the straight lined brushing on the sides of the case, although worn. The dial has what appears to be the original lume and is in very good condition, as well as attractive. There are two small dimples that appear between the 4 and 5 o’clock position, as well as between 11 and 12 o’clock, with the one that is at the top of the dial that appears to have a crease. An unusual vintage dial, it is safe to say that this watch is still Dynamic.
Each of Omega’s elegant De Ville timepieces is characterized by a unique and classic design. This chronograph model features a two-zone opaline silver dial with Roman numeral hour indexes, a date window at 6 o’clock and a scratch-resistant sapphire crystal. The dial presents a small seconds subdial, as well as 60-minute and 12-hour counters on one dial for intuitive reading of elapsed time. The bezel is mounted on a 42 mm stainless steel case and is presented on a stainless steel bracelet. Powering this watch is the Omega Co-Axial caliber 9300, visible through the transparent caseback.
